Hell breaks loose
The people of Nez hid themselves in their houses as a mighty roar went through the streets of Nez. Warmonger, the herald of Khorne, vented his rage on the townsfolk, and a river of blood flowed through the streets. His bloodseekers and their massive juggernauts rampaged through the streets, causing massive damage throughout the districts. The people called out for a champion to stop this monster, before he would tear down their already war-torn village.
In the third week, the unstoppable advance of the Chevaliers de Saint Leon was, in fact, stopped. Hearing of the atrocities these knights had commited against civilians in the name of a just cleansing, the UTC rallied in the Prime arbor to slow the advance of the oncoming knights.
The gunners of the Arabian merchant Al-Mubarak Hasim proved their stopping power, laying down a supressing fire on the knight's advancing troops. Meanwhile the blood bowl team "Bust Loose!" proved that their violent behaviour does not limit itself to the arena, and that a man's head can be passed just as far as blood bowl ball!
Earlier that week the Amazon women of Bust Loose were seen at the Beer Garden event set up by their trainer, coach Diheydd. The players of the team talked to excited fans while enjoying their beers, a cheerful party that raised the spirits in these hard times. Cheerful right up until some of the quite inebriated fans started arguing who of them linewoman Azuma was more attracted to. The argument devolved into a fight, the fight spilled out into the streets, and before long the military arm of the UTC had to intervene in order to set the drunken fighters straight!
This didn't hinder the amazons while defending the harbor, though, and when evening fell, the knights and merchants found themselves at an impasse, neither controlling the contested ward.
Another calamity struck the knights at their home district, the Military ward. Several buildings suddenly caught fire during the knights and burned to the ground. The few guards the Chevaliers had left behind were not enough to catch the perpetrators, although several witnesses could be rounded up. All of them claimed that several men had spilled large quantities of alcohol on the buildings and then put a torch to them. Most claimed that they had seen some of the perpetrators before, recognising them as agitators of the Brotherhood of Defiant Amaranth. The Brotherhood, of course, denied all involvement in the matter.
Further down south, the enemies of Nez introduced themselves to the city. The Sons of Exile came home, and on arrival destroyed much of the market ward! While the Huntsman, Gareth, was still pursuing the vengeful outcasts, the Sons let loose their fury on the market before once again disappearing into the shadows.
Meanwhile, all over town, malformed peasants in dirty yellow jackets sporting a black Fleur de Lys attacked the city guard. They set fires and caused chaos wherever they could. The guard was quick to move against them, and managed to keep most of the chaos in check. One of the disgusting peasants was caught and is currently held for questioning, although his mad rambling hasn't made any sense to the overworked captain of the city guard, Alain Deleon, just yet. The few useful bits het got out of the peasant referred to "la Ordre du Purété Noir", and "the exorsism of the wounding friend". Since the captain declared these were the useful bits, it is no suprise that he threw the man in isolation after a full night of questioning!
On the bloodiest streets of Nez
Warmonger roared as he tore apart yet another mortal, the spray of blood covering him and his mount. They had taken a heavy toll here. The Blood God would be pleased.
Suddenly a chill went through him. His collar, a gift of Khorne that protected him from cowardly magic, tingled and twisted on his neck. Annoyed, Warmonger pulled at it, looking around for a wizard to slay.
But he found no wizard. And the feeling grew in intensity.
Then Warmonger gasped, and looked south. An ancient enemy had come to Nez. Roaring, Warmonger urged his riders to follow him. If he was correct, then he had only very little time to prevent a disaster that could destroy this town!
Somewhere beneath the city
The eight candles, positioned in a circle, gave off an eerie, pale blue light. several robed men sat at the edge of that circle, chanting monotonously. In the center of the circle, there stood a skeletal figure. The ancient bones of a long-dead warrior had been gathered, held in place with leather straps. Even the warrior's elaborate armour and sword had been brought here, and the skeleton was now wearing that armour and clutching the sword in boney fingers. The skeleton hung three inches off the ground, suspended in the air by the magics at work here. Tendrils of a thin purple mist hung around the dead warrior, touching him, licking his bones.
In the shadows, another robed man stood and smiled. It had all been so easy. Those fools above the ground were far too busy fighting each other to even notice him down here. He couldn't have done it without them. And now, his work was nearly done. The work of a century, finally done. Just one more week, and the ritual was complete. The relics were gathered, his men knew how to perform the magic. It would not be long, now. Just a few more days. Then first Nez, then Bretonnia, and finally the whole world would know his wrath...
Note from the game masters: With Warmonger on the loose, several wards have been severely damaged, and will produce fewer resources. |

Did no one notice the Khornate maniac casually walking into the city? The walls are pretty crappy. _________________

I assume he shattered the walls into teeny, sign of khorne-shaped pieces. _________________ Now Andre, how am I related to these people?

Wouldn't work. The wall flees at the first sight of danger. |

And they're highly flammable. Wall of flames is cool, but not when it expires within a couple of minutes with no back-ups. |

Aww, but if the wall stops smelling of cabbage and starts smelling of death and is left alone for a few months while it becomes a skeleton.....Hmmmm? A bone wall could work. _________________ Now Andre, how am I related to these people?
